Transavia was founded in 1965 and its headquarters are in the city of Haarlemmermeer, the Netherlands. Transavia operates low cost flights between different European, African and Middle Eastern destinations. The airline belongs to the Air France-KLM group as well as its French subsidiary.
Transavia airline currently offers more than 99 routes and 5 bases or “hubs”, spread over the Netherlands, Denmark and France.

Currently, Transavia has 39 aircraft in circulation, all of the Boeing brand and 737 model. In the past, the airline also owned Airbus aircraft, which it stopped using in 2015
Hand luggage in Transavia
Transavia, unlike other low-cost airlines, allows you to carry a carry-on bag with a maximum size of 55x35x25 cm and, in addition, a personal accessory with a maximum size of 40x30x20 cm. Both packages together cannot exceed 10Kg.

Transavia offers the following Check-in options:
- Online check-in: The airline offers to check-in online or through its mobile app, online check-in opens 24 hours before and closes 4 hours before flight departure.
- Check-in at the Airport: You can check-in at any of the Transavia counters, remember that you can check-in at the airport up to 45 minutes before flight departure.
Seating
The airline allows you to select a seat at the time of check-in totally free, however, it allows you to make a seat reservation at the time of the flight purchase at an additional cost.
